see how good the ds is selling, i would say 2-3 more years if the sales hold up.

With the phenomenal sales of both the DS and DS Lite I wouldn't expect it to be going anywhere anytime soon. I'd give it at least 2 more years before we even hear about any new handhelds from Nintendo and probably 3 or 4 until it's replaced all together.
