So what does this firmware update do if it actually doesn't cause massive error? :dry:

Ok here is what the scoop is.

Nintendo released a Update for the web browser to stop freezing issues and connection issues with the lan adapter and wireless adapter and now several people's wireless signals have drop to the eqivlant of a 56k modem and the wii shop channel and the everone votes channel and the weather channel do not recognize the connection speed and the connection continues to fail no matter what i sure hope nintendo gets this fix soon it is weird though they fixed the web browser problems and nailed everything else out.

Yep, I have encountered this problem. I was able to enter the Virtual Console once, but was disconnected with the same error. Lame...
