Any one else think that the new Wii Zapper is pretty awesome.  I've heard that they're a few new games that will be up and comming using the Zapper.  Just wanted to see what anyone else's thoughts about the Zapper were.  I think its pretty neat and would have been really nice to have for games like Far Cry.

The Wii Zapper sucks.

There. I said it.

It will be the most underused peripherial for the Wii. Its a great idea and a neat little contraption. However, its flaws are in its strengths. For instance, it holds the wiimote and nunchuk in a gun casing together. Therefore it would not be useful for most Wii games like Far Cry or Metroid Prime: Corruption because the nunchuk is used for motion in those games. So I suggest if you do end up getting this game, make Zelda Crosbow Training your new religion and plan on purchasing Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. If not, then just make your own \"Wii Zapper\" out of carefully glued LEGOs because the Wii Zapper sucks.

Im mad as hell.

Nintendo at e3 promised us a nice looking wii gun and now we get a plastic piece of junk if i wanted to spend 19.99 for a plastic gun i would have purchased the wii blaster and mod the heck out of it oh wait i did and i still have a better gun then the wii zapper the only reason i am going to purchase the wii zapper is to get the game and throw the zapper in the trash can.

Its funny that you say that....because I kind of figured thats what a lot of people would do. I think the whole gun accesory is a waste for the Wii just because of how most Wii games are played but also, its just fun to just use that little wiimote to point and click instead of a traditional arcade gun which we have been accustomed to since the arcade days and Duck Hunt.

Guys I went hands on with the Zapper and im going to tell you that it's awesome. It works perfect and the form factor is great. Also you can detach the nunchuck and use it in your left hand if you need too without issue... Plus many games are going to have a mode selection, one for zapper and one for traditional controls.

Hold the nunchuk in the other hand? Really...and it didn't feel awkward at all?

Well, if it is as good as you say, then lets hope there is plenty of support (by both games made for the wii zapper and by people buying up those games and wii zapper).
