With the conferance said and done we have a couple things to cover. Shaun White Snowboarding It seems that the balance board is going to have more uses then for Wii Fit and other fitness games. Shaun White's upcoming snowboarding game will be using the board as well. The game is being brought to the Wii by Ububisoft and has been "designed from the ground up." The game is due out by the end of the year. Animal Crossing Wii Also coming to the Wii is a new Animal Crossing game titled "City Folk" that will have similar graphics to the last gen GameCube version. The game will utilize the message board feature on the Wii and allow users to send messages to friends and allow them to put on masks to look like their Miis. Animal Crossing: City Folk, will also use the recently announced WiiSpeak to allow you to speak to other players. WiiSpeak Along with the Animal Crossing anouncement Nintendo announced a new accesory called "WiiSpeak." I assume, according the pictures below, that it will sit on top of the sensor bar and more than likely plug in via a usb slot. That is not confirmed but I will keep you posted on any developements. WiiMotion will be bundled with new WiiSports Resort game We announced earlier that Nintendo is going to be releasing a new WiiMote attachment that will enhance it's motion sensing capabilities. Today they also announced a new Wii Sports game that will be bundled with it called "Wii Sports Resort." Basically a sequal, Wii Sports Resort will be a "beach sports game" and have such games as frisbee and jetskiing. WiiMusic Another game that is uniqueqly Nintendo that was announced today is WiiMusic. I was wondering when they would create a "virtual music game" with all the recent success of Guitar Hero and Rock Bank. Well, here we have WiiMusic. WiiMusic will use the WiiMote and Nunchuck and will also use the Wii Balance Board for foot tapping and perhaps other gestures. You will blow into the WiiMote to simulate playing a flute or sax. The game will have over 50 instruments for you to pick from which include the piano, violin, guitar and marimba. "Wii Music is a slightly different play experience than you've seen with other music games," explained Nintendodesigner Shigeru Miyamoto. "Now most music games require you to press buttons with precise timing to symbols on screen, but we've designed Wii Music to allow everyone, inclusing those who can't read music to enjoy the experience of playing music." Instead of following a strict set of notes, Wii music will let players improvise and create their own music using the Wii. The game will record videos of your on-screen play sessions. More to come. There goes another year for Nintendo at E3. Thanks go to Joystiq for the photos and information. Make sure to stick around at Wii-Volution for all the latest Wii News.
