Japan's WiiWare Hands-on PDF Print E-mail

untitled-1.pngA few days ago, IGN.com added their recent hands-on with nine of the recently released "WiiWare" titles available in Japan. The WiiWare area will launch in America on May 12th, in case any of the hands-on articles spark your interest.

The nine titles they go hands-on with are:
  • Dr. Mario
  • Pokemon Ranch
  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King
  • Star Soldier R
  • Okiraku Ping Pong Wii
  • Tenshi no Solitaire
  • Word Puzzle Mojipittan Wii
  • Saku Saku Animal Panic
  • Lonpos
A few interesting things about some of the titles:
  • In multiplayer modes of some of the games, you can choose to play online with a friend, even if they don't own the game. You can choose to send a multiplayer-only version of the game for a friend to download. Then you trade friend codes and play online together.
  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King and Lonpos both have warnings for users purchasing the titles that they may have to pay for future game-enhancing updates for the titles. This is most likely part of Nintendo's new "Pay-to-Play" service.
  • If you enjoy gifting the Virtual Console titles, you'll be glad to hear that all WiiWare titles are available to gift to friends.
You can find a links to all of the nine previews and videos of the WiiWare titles at the IGN article.
